BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- The China Invention Association announced on August 26 that the 11th International Invention Exhibition and the "Belt and Road" BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition, which brought together innovative forces from over 30 countries and regions for three days, recently concluded successfully, with various awards unveiled and presented.

After strict evaluation, the exhibition awarded 323 gold medals, 444 silver medals, and 503 bronze medals for the "Invention Exhibition Awards." Among the gold medals, eight special awards were selected, including the "WIPO Best Invention Award" for "An Integrated On-Vehicle Full-Process Solution for Film and Television Production," the "WIPO Best Women Inventors Award" for "Carbon-Independent Advanced Nitrogen Removal Technology for Wastewater," and the "WIPO Best Young Inventors Award" for "A Multifunctional and Environmentally Friendly Small Underwater Gripping Robot."

Meanwhile, international exhibition projects awarded 36 gold medals, 34 silver medals, 45 bronze medals, and 14 special awards. The "Belt and Road" BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition awarded 18 gold medals, 32 silver medals, and 28 bronze medals.

As an important part of the invention exhibition, the competition attracted over 300 participants from more than 10 countries to compete in seven major categories: advanced manufacturing, green energy, artificial intelligence, digital agriculture, digital healthcare, future technologies, and public management. Nearly 80 gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded, not only enhancing participants' skills but also promoting the alignment of international skill standards and talent exchange.

Yu Huarong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Executive Vice Chairman, and Secretary-General of the China Invention Association, summarized that the exhibition and competition showcased the latest achievements in artificial intelligence, new energy, biomedicine, high-end equipment, and digital technology, reflecting new trends in international scientific cooperation and integrated development. This not only provided a platform for inventors from China and abroad to showcase and exchange ideas but also, through the "Belt and Road" and BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition, facilitated the connection between young skilled talents and international innovation resources, injecting new technological momentum into global sustainable development.

Liu Hua, Director of the WIPO China Office, stated that WIPO will continue to support innovation activities by inventors in China and globally, promoting the construction of an inclusive, open, and balanced international intellectual property ecosystem.

It was reported that during the 11th International Invention Exhibition, a series of events were held, including a symposium commemorating the 40th anniversary of the China Invention Association, a two-way roadshow and matchmaking session on intellectual property, the China Hidden Unicorn 500 Forum, the Xiangjiang No. 1 Future Life Technology Innovation Achievements Release Conference, and cooperation symposiums. By showcasing a large number of internationally leading invention achievements and technological solutions, the International Invention Exhibition has become an important platform for promoting global scientific and technological innovation exchange and cooperation.
